This page describes the choices you have about how Mutual LLC (“Mutual,” “we,” “us”) processes your personal information, and how to exercise them. It supplements our Privacy Policy. These choices are available to all users; certain rights are guaranteed by law to residents of California, the EU/EEA, the UK, and other jurisdictions.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share limited information — your email address in hashed form, device and advertising identifiers, and app events — with advertising platforms (currently Meta and Google) to measure our advertising and to reach current and former users with Mutual advertisements on other sites and apps. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, this kind of disclosure for cross-context behavioral advertising is considered “sharing.” A list of these partners is on our subprocessor and advertising-partner page.
To opt out of this sharing: email [email protected] with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.” Include the email address or phone number on your Mutual account so we can locate it. You do not need to have a Mutual account login to submit this request, and we will not ask you to create one.
Once we process your opt-out, we will stop sharing your personal information with advertising platforms and will request removal of your identifiers from the audience lists we have uploaded. You may also use an authorized agent to submit this request on your behalf; we may ask for proof that you gave the agent permission to act for you.
We process two categories of information that some laws treat as sensitive: the religious affiliation you choose to include in your Profile, and face-geometry information derived from verification photos (described in Section 1.5 of our Privacy Policy). We use these only to provide the Service you signed up for and to keep the Service safe and secure — we do not use or disclose them for advertising, and we do not sell them. Because of this, no separate “limit” action is required, but you may contact us at [email protected] with any request or question about sensitive information.
We may use additional steps to verify your identity before we disclose or delete personal information. We will respond to verifiable requests within the time required by applicable law, and we will never discriminate against you — for example, by changing the price or quality of the Service — because you exercised a privacy right.
